Plettenberg Bay is a beautiful seaside town in the centre of South Africa's world famous Garden Route, a comfortable five-hour drive from Cape Town.

The temperate climate of Plettenberg Bay, or Plett as it is known by the locals, makes it a popular holiday destination for local and international visitors alike. The average minimum temperature is 13 ºC while the average maximum temperature is 22 ºC. Moreover, Plett does not experience the severe windy conditions common to the Eastern Cape regions and averages only four rainy days a month!

The Crags Elephant Sanctuary allows visitors to feed the gentle giants and even ride them. Monkeyland is the world's first free-roaming multi-species primate sanctuary, while Birds of Eden has a unique two hectare dome spanning a gorge which provides sanctuary for a large collection of African birds. Tenikwa Wildlife Awareness Centre offers a unique wildcat experience where visitors can walk with cheetah.

Adrenaline seekers will feel at home in the area, with the world's highest commercial bunjy jump just 20 minutes' drive away, while abseiling, zipline treetop canopy tours and black water tubing are all offered by professional and experienced operators.
